I. Color the stamp and emboss the velvet. This can be done in one step. Preheat your iron to the cotton setting. Starting with the bulb stem, color the rubber stamp with the Marvy markers. You can use more than one color on top of another and blend for more depth of color. Only Marvy markers will work for this project because they have enough moisture in the ink to make the embossing process work well.
2. Once the stamp is colored, lay it on a flat surface with the rubber side facing up. Lay the velvet wrong side facing up, on top of the rubber image. Press with the hot iron. Hold for about 10 seconds, and until the velvet is completely dry.
3. Repeat with the Iris stamps as shown in the sample.
4. Cut blue card stock in to a 1/4" frame with the outside edge being 8" x 4". Fold white card stock in half to 8.5" x 4".
5. Attach velvet to front of card with fabric glue or double stick tape. Attach blue frame to velvet with double stick tape. |
